Ooh baby! What a wonderful morning to run. Held pace great through 21 miles then faded a bit. Still finished with a 12 minute PR in 3:08:43. After the training disruption with the whole broken collarbone ordeal I am ecstatic with that result. Still got 11 months to put up a qualifying time and I'm certain that will happen

Off to Chicago today!

Slight discomfort in the shin, but not near as bad as Tuesday. Still think I'm going to shut it down until race day. Threw a 7 minute mile in there so I could remember what race pace is supposed to feel like.

A lot of people have been asking me the last few days whether or not I was still going to try and qualify for Boston.  Heck yeah I'm still going to try and qualify for Boston.  That was THE ONE goal heading into the year.  Now I know with the less than ideal preparation due to the collarbone break I could very well be blowing up in the late miles of race, but I'm okay with that and I would just be cheating myself if I didn't give it a good shot.  The last month has been good. The weather looks perfect.  Things are looking good for Sunday.

Precautionary day off today.  Noticed the a liiiiitle bit of shin pain going down steps today so I decided to rest it.  No use pushing at this point

Recovery pace. For some reason I had a shin-splity like pain in my left leg the whole run. Not sure where that came from. Hope it's gone tomorrow.
