Headed over to Hannibal this morning to watch Marshall (age 3) first indoor soccer game. It's always fun to watch the little ones. Then we're bringing all 3 grandkids home for the night. Taking them to Aunt Sue's and then to a circus, then returning them mid-day Sunday. It's supposed to be a bit warmer this weekend so I'm hopeful that I can get some outdoor activity in at some point.

Our department is hiring another Marketing Coordinator, who starts December 2nd. My boss is moving into a different office and asked if I would like to move into her old space. I practically leaped at the opportunity. It's just a cubicle but it has large windows and a view of a garden/terrace area. I've never had a window. It does get pretty cold back there but I can utilize a space heater.

More early morning Zwifting

This early morning Zwifting is getting to be habit-forming. I don't even put on bike shorts, just ride in my PJs (well, I do pull on bike shoes). No problems yet.

We've got a visitation to go to tonight (sister of a coworker who died from cancer at age 56). I'm not entirely certain we need to go, I feel like a card would be sufficient, but I suppose that if there's any doubt, it's best to make an appearance.

I'm charging up my bike lights. If it's not too freezing cold and snowy tomorrow night, there may be a mtb ride on the trails after work.

The Kansas, Il ride was a bust --- the weather turned to crap during the 2 hour ride, so i opted not to ride. Steve did and said it was brutal. It took a lot out of him. I waited for him in the van and took the most amazing long nap.

In just the year since the last time we did this ride, this little town has lost its only restaurant and I noticed that the roofs on some of the buildings on the town square have collapsed. The race itself left something to be desired. The finish line is actually on a road about a mile from the start, and it was unclear to riders who podiumed what the plan was to receive awards, as the race director and crew were out at the finish line. I don't think we'll do this event again.

So today the plan is to take down our Halloween decorations, do some weights and probably a Zwift ride.
