I was supposed to do a 20 min "recovery ride" today, but didn't get around to it because I was moving allll day.  We got up early, picked up a 10' truck, unloaded a storage unit into it, drove to the old house, unloaded the truck again, reloaded it with stuff from the house, loaded the car, then drove to the new house.  We unloaded the truck, dropped it off and then drove back to the old house for another car load.  We then racked our bikes at Colubmia, then drove back to the new house and unloaded the car.  We finally showered, then went to Faci for dinner.  I didn't eat much all day, and was completely exhausted by the time I went to bed.  I kept thinking "I really have to race tomorrow"?

I got off of work about 4:30, but then went to the new house and unloaded another load of stuff (mostly light weight furniture).  After that, we went to pick up our packets for Columbia.  The shirts are UA and MUCH better this year.  Then I went to swim.  By the time I got home it was 8:30 and I decided to skip the run and save my legs for moving tomorrow and the race on Sunday.  We'll call this a mini-taper.  That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I bagged tonight's planned ride.  B and I bought a new house today, and have begun the long ardous process of moving.  We did 4 SUV loads of boxes yesterday.  Since she has a herniated disk, I get to do all of the lifting and she gets to unpack.  Note that we're are moving out of a 3 story house and into a 4 story house.  By the end of the day, I was drenched in sweat and my quads were screaming.  I figured I got my workout in.

Base set. This was a total WTF swim for me. It was literally the slowest swim I've had since January, and I have no idea why. HUGE confidence booster for Sunday's race. I do know that my right hammy was getting a cramp about half way through the set, which wasn't helping. Given how bad I was doing and the cramp (and that I've got a lot to do tonight) I bagged the cool down.
