Ended up not being able to fit in a session at the gym today. Too busy. I did finish my book proposal though!

Felt pretty good. This is a very decent pace for me running alone. I usually need someone to push me to run faster than 9:30. Lots of little aches and pains today. Didn't feel great until about Mile 4. Ran some of the streets the marathon follows. The arrows are already painted!!

Ugh, that was a lot of freaking kicking. Dang. I can't remember the last time I did that much kicking in a single set. I did the last 150s really hard, too. I was trying to keep up with the high school swim team kids in the lane next to me. Key word is "trying."

Good run. It felt REALLY easy despite quite a few hills. This is the first run where, when the pace slowed, I actually felt uncomfortable and wanted to speed up. Running partner developed a blister but wouldn't admit it for a few miles. That was the slow-down issue. Last mile or so, I ran alone. Perfect weather. I'm feeling really confident.
