YEAH!!!! That's what I'm talkin' about. Here are my stats from my last long run 2 weeks ago:
2h 30m 06s 14.16 miles 10m 36s/Mi

This week, 9:36 pace. How 'bout them apples? I didn't even feel like I was working harder. I just put forth a little more mental effort the first mile to get a different cadence and pace in my head, and once I established that, it was easy to keep going that speed. Wow, if I had kept going for another hour (which I feel like I could have) that would have been a 4:00 marathon!! Are you kidding?

Dock to building
Building to island
Around island
Island to building HARD - kept up with Jayme!
Back and forth along building waiting for group 2.
Building to island.
Around island 3 times.
Island to building.
Back and forth along building waiting for Mark.
Building to dock hard.

This is the longest I've swam in awhile - maybe ever. Felt good while in there. My arms actually felt tired when I got out, and when I got to work. Can't say that's happened since I was learning to swim laps.

Rain Today.
Created a self-styled "Billy Joel Interval Workout" LOL.
Play only Billy Joel on MP3. Adjust cadence to each song. Adjust gear to keep speed steady. It passed the time!

Nora talked me into moving up to the "Blue" video, one step up from green. Then she went downstairs and played. Sigh. I'm glad I did it though. I actually started with an aching lower back and felt great when I finished.

Moderate first loop with Frank.
Second loop alone - very hard. Felt GREAT!

We had a very nice pace today. It was just Beth and I. We went out hard and then miraculously found a roadie to draft off on the way back!

Felt normal but pace was very slow. Perhaps due to effects of sports massage yesterday. Cadence good. Power missing.

Y pool.
Mix of speed, stroke and form drills. I noticed I lose my straight-line body position when I breathe left. I sort of curve around and flex my obliques, bending sideways at the waist. Weird. Will have to fix that.
