Look 206

What a difference!!!!! I have been using the straps that came on the pedals when I bought the bike, and just recently purchased the Looks. I didn't have a clue of what to look for, so the bike shop I go to helped me look through what they offered. With a gift certificate in hand, I picked up the Looks along with some Shimano shoes.
I'm not even sure if I made the right decision, but they feel good and make a HUGE difference on rides. My speed has increased a little, but the comfort as opposed to the "rat traps" is a tremendous difference. I also feel that all of my efforts/energy are now going into my cranks. I went on a ride this past weekend and started with the intention of riding my normal distance, but I felt so good at the 1/2 way point that I decided to go quite a bit further. I couldn't believe that even with my extra miles I still had my fastest average speed. I also couldn't believe the difference of speed on short flat sprints.
I am totally convinced that I have made the right decision for my current level of training.
(which is very much a beginner
)
On a side note, I like the new layout of the site.
Happy trails,
Matt

You probably find it easier to spin in a full circle, especially on the up-stroke. I would have to agree that they make a difference.

I am brand new to road biking and triathlons and I recently purchased my first road bike. I'm a mountain biker at heart, but I'm really liking the road so far.
Anyway, my Bianchi came with upgraded Look PP357 pedals and I love them! I like the larger platform and easy entry/release of the Look pedals.
I am sold on Look as well.
