Ran 5 miles and enjoyed the coolness of the morning. Hard to come by in Florida.

1200 meters in the pool this morning... First time back in the water in over a month. Man it was rough! Then took a little 3 mile jog after. -

45 minutes hammering the trainer followed immediately with 5K on the mill.
Five weeks into a big push. Will slow down a bit for a few days to recover. Didn't make the distance swimming yesterday that I wanted.
This big push has paid off. The mirror and tape measure don't lie.

3 mile run followed by about 10 min of stretching and strength training. Feels good to finally be running again even if it is only a few miles. 2011 was the year of injuries I hope to have better luck in 2012. -

5.3 mile run at work during lunch today in 6+ inches of snow. I think snowshoes would have been better for some of the trails that I was running on. Enjoyed seeing all of the deer / coyote / rabbit prints out on the trails. -

One hour (30.7 km) of Jorge fun on trainer. Can't run at night this week because (seriously) there are huge crowds, flower markets, food stalls, stages, mock boats, and temporary rice fields blocking my running route--huge Tet festival going on. -

1700yd swim. 500yd w/u, 5 x 200, then 2 x 100.
My first swim since Orangeman in September. I went totally off swimming and concentrated on running only the past 4 months. I didn't want an extra ounce of upper body muscle to carry during last weekend's marathon. (it worked, I hit the pace I was hoping for)
But - now it's time to get back in the pool, and I found out just how much speed I lost. Turns out, quite a bit. ugh. time to start getting back into the swim of things.
