)
)
Orbea Avant Evolution M30 S 2015
Kestrel Talon Road 2015
1. What would be the differences between them?
2. Can I modify them for aero?
Thanks so much for your help

IMHO, the Orbea is a much better bike than the Kestrel. I had a Talon in years past and it's a bad compromise between tri bike and road bike, kind of ending up being good at neither... With that said, make sure the bike you decide on fits you well.
You can't modify a bike to be more aero... it is what it is. You can change equipment to make a bit more aero, wheels, handle bars etc, but most important, your fit. You account for the vast majority of the drag, so make sure you're in the most efficient
(aero plus comfort
) position you can be in.

I'm by no means a bike expert but I bought a Talon last year as my very first road bike ever. I bought it from a LBS who is the best fitter in our area. The Talon is his intro
($1,400-ish
) carbon fiber road bike. I put a pair or Profile Design clamp-on aero bars on it, forgoing the option of buying the Talon with a full tri bar setup.
The bike works for me. I do 15-40 mile training rides and just completed my first 56 mile HIM last week. I train in an area with hills and the HIM had 3200+ feet of elevation gain.
There are a number of Talons in this area.
