Sounds like what the plan is calling for - when is your race?

Train On, Enjoy the Journey and Welcome to the Forums!
I would recommend signing up for a race to give you focus and purpose to your training. I started out running before I got into Triathlons. I was overweight and started a 12 week walking program. To keep myself motivated I signed up for a local 5k. It was my first one (4/14') and I had to run/walk the course and I loved coming under the finish chute and seeing the timing clock counting down as I sprinted my big azz past the finish line, even if it did say 48 minutes!
I have been racing continuously since then with 2 full marathons and a olympic triathlon under my belt. My fastest 5k is 25 minutes!

Enjoy the journey!
With no race on the horizon, you can pretty safely skip the brick workouts and replace them with standalone bike and runs.
