Tomorrows West Point Tri route:

Slice Tri Bike or Trek Emonda my roadie?
I am a very aggressive descender and majority of slice work is done on flats or smaller rollers
Thanks Tim -

What makes you think the roadie would be a better choice? I don't see any turns other than in and out of transition and two 180s. Do you even need to brake on this course other than those tuns I mentioned?

I don't own a tri-bike, but if I did, sure looks like a great course to use it. Flat and as previously said, very little in the way of turns. Looks like you'd be able to stay in aero pretty much the whole way. -

Used the Slice. I just hadn't had much practice on speedy descents handling wise. I was aggressive though, but over 35 on downhills I admit I kept left arm in aero but had my right hand on the bullhorns for more control. Top 1% bike time9th of 600. I'll spare you my swim numbers lol

Awesome result!!!
I was going to answer road bike... Those descends are fairly technical and you should be able to go downhill that much faster on a road bike that you can make up the loss you'll see on flatter terrain.
I just did a race in MD where I used my road bike. Compared to last year when I used my tri bike, I went quite a bit faster. The race is pretty much a long descent (not technical though) followed by a u-turn and nothing by climbing.
