Has anyone tried out the Zero carbon wheelsets yet?  I am thinking of getting a set comprised of the 038 for the front and the 050 for the rear.  The set is $1300 and and as a Team Javelin member, I would be allowed a 25% discount on them.   That would mean that he wheelset would cost $975!  Even with taxes and so forth, that is much less than any wheelset I've been looking at.  However, I know nothing about them.  Any feedback, positive or negative, on these wheels would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing to add about their performance, but these were on the top of my list when looking for race wheels.  I called and e-mailed Zero for weeks trying to speak to someone regarding the Javelin deal and ask some basic questions. All I was ever able to get was an answering machine.  No one ever got back to me.  Maybe it's just me, but if I'm going to drop this much coin on something I expect a certain level of customer support.

Wound up going w/Zipp, who incidentally not only answered my calls, but who have come up to me (unsolicited) at events just to see how I like their wheels. I may not be the fastest guy, but it's still nice to be loved, even if I have to pay for it

Is that price Canadian? If it's not, I bought a more aero wheelset (Hed3, Renn575) for $100 less, early last year.

No experience on these wheels, however.

Re: Javelin's customer support, I've had nothing but positive experiences with them during the recent purchase of an Arcole frameset and dealing with across-the-border shipping and follow-up; they are only a phone call away, but I will admit, there was initial frustration trying to get the right numbers (800-number does not work in Canada - they weren't aware - and the web contacts are inaccurate and they have faulty links - I was assusred they are working on it and a new website to be unveiled soon) but once I made first contact, they were right there and bent over backwards to accomodate me.

Zeros are stocked by Javelin (the company) but not directly ordered/shipped from the same locale, is my understanding.

I'm a team Javelin member as well and tapped into a sick deal on a frameset, and hope to go gonzo with some Zero wheels next fall. I've only seen a set and their owner was very, very happy with them (050 front/disc rear and had experiences renting Zipps before).
