quick release binder bolt

Can you replace most any seat post bolt with a quick release binder bolt? Sometimes I like to put my bike inside my car (instead of the carrier) and need to remove the seat and this would be much easer.

Is it a separate collar or a brazed-on fitting?

With a collar, you should be able to easily replace the whole thing with a MTB unit. Otherwise, you may have to add some washers. But it can be done.

no seperate collar...I'm headed to LBS hopefully today so I'll ask there. thanks for the response.
