From Road bike to Tri bike *NEW BIKE*

So, 2007 Trinity A1. I haven't put on my Rolf Prima wheels yet, and I need to get a fit, but what do you think. Any suggestions on position since I won't get a fit for a little while. I'm stoked, you can see my poor road bike in the back if you look closely.

Not bad, though two things are going to happen -- when you put cycling shoes on (you WILL use cycling shoes, right?), you'll need to raise the saddle some, and over time you'll probably lose some of the spacers under the stem. Nice ride! -

. We just moved into the new house, still working on it. But we can still park 2 cars in it!!!As far as the cycling shoes, I think i might be just right. I feel a little long on the down stroke without shoes, so we'll see. I need to get the bike shop to put on the correct pedals tomorrow. My good pedals require a big alan to install.
As for spacers, I might take those out pretty quick. Still haven't gotten to take her for a spin to see how I feel.

The way that lampshade is hanging makes the house look like its haunted or something...

NICE Bike man, Congrats!!
I agree with Dave. The first thing I notice about your position is that your shoulders seem to be too high relative to the seat position and your knee seems a bit too far from your elbow. I don't know how aggressive you want to be with your posture but if you do, you need to get more compact. Its hard for me to see how many spacers you have there, but you probably want to get lower if possible, and raise the seat some, as Dave mentioned. Also move the seat forward if you can. Just my 2cents. Enjoy!!!

Nice looking bike there.
As others have said, you will probably end up losing some spacers. I would guess that you'll also end up tilting the whole cockpit down a bit so that the back ends of the bars and bullhorns are parallel with the ground.
It would be easier to see your hip and knee angles if you were to put your pedal down to the farthest point from your saddle (leg as fully extended as it gets).

Some more pics of the fit. The spacers are gone and the aero bars and base bar have been put more level to the ground. I have also on some better clothing to see angels, and my pedals and shoes are now on

In my opinion, that position looks great. Good leg angle when your at the 9 o'clock position, looks like the aerobars are supporting you instead of your muscles. I'm no expert, but I'd say it looks pretty good. You'll have to let us all know how you like that bike after you have some miles on her... Does she have a name yet?
I see you thought you'd park the envoy in behind you so your messy garage isn't so obvious...

Nice bike. I'd never given Giant a second thought for Tri bikes, but their new stuff is really nice. Might have to put that model on my short list.
