Pre-race routine:
Cliff Bar, Whey Gatorade Mix, Red Bull.Event warmup:
None. Spent the time before the race trying to determine what to wear given the cold conditions. Settled on 3 layers on top, shorts, winter hat and gloves. Got to start line right at gun. No stretching or warm up at all.

Comments:
I didn't put any pressure on this race. I decided to treat this as a regular training run. Weather was cold at the start, but I was over dressed. Ended up taking off hat and gloves 2 miles into race. Dropped off winter accessories and 1 layered shirt at lap 1. Took a gel at mile 7 - really helped.
My pace was pretty consistent and I did most of the passing along the last loop. Overall, pretty good effort and I liked running without any time pressure.
Post race
Warm down:
Walked around and got a cup of coffee.Event comments:
Fun race - I will run the 30k of this series if I am in town.

Tony, Nice job on the race. Don't you just hate that hill? I be back for the final race of the series, but only for the 10K since it will be a recovery week for me. Sue

Nice run, Tony. Great job on those hills. And you gotta love passing folk on that homestretch, eh?
Congrats!
