Pre-race routine:
Boost (2 hr prior), GU (15 min prior).Event warmup:
None.
Swim
Comments:
New goggles worked great, it is nice to actually be able to see what is in front of you. What would you do differently?:
Nothing.
T1
Comments:
Strap ended up flipping inside-out and made for a hell of a time getting my foot in the shoe. What would you do differently?:
Look down to make sure foot is entering shoe correctly.
Bike
Comments:
Too much water on the bike... thus cramping on the run.
Gears still weren’t quite "right" after the switch over to race-wheels, might have to make a "bike shop adjustment" mandatory before race day.
T2
Run
Comments:
Not happy with run, but with hill/heat combo, I'll take it.
Without cramping issues at miles 3+ could have finished significantly stronger. Had to have been as a result of the water on the bike. Nutrition is a pain in the ass.
