Walk a mile and slow jog .5 mile. Light stretching.

Comments:
Right hip pain started around mile 9-10. Still haven't figured it out. May be where ITB connects. Stopped for a minute in mile 11 to stretch it and hydrate for the last time.What would you do differently?:
Do more specific stretching for hip beforehand. Focus more on race components, in this case 4 5Ks with emphasis on negative splits.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:
Hip pain. Started pretty conservatively. Probably could have broken 1:50 which would have been awesome for me at this juncture in my training.Event comments:
A lot of support from local youth running groups and university teams made for an interesting mix. Nice day, good race and good result.
