ate my oatmeal, walked 1.25 miles to the start, trying to get warm

none other than walking from the hotel, got in the corral 5 min before the start

Run went well. I had no idea how I'd do, as I hadn't run more than 14 miles on the road since IM in Sept, and that wasn't a run! Really just wanted to stay below 4:00. I ran a very even pace till the last 5 miles, surprisingly so. Felt bad by mile 8, but never worsened till mile 21. Weather was miserable, in the low 20s with frigid gusts of wind. When the wind died down, it was OK. I had worn a fleece to throw away after the start, but never warmed up enough to take it off!. Overall, I was pretty pleased.

stood around a bit, found Ed and Vespar, had a beer and hit the subway back to the hotel

lack of training

Good race, everything. went smoothy, except the post race beer lines. That was a huge pain in the ass.
