Comments:
In water start. Poor swim support. 2 jetski's & 2 lifeguards for a 1000M+ course.
T1
Comments:
Run up to T1 is a quarter mile uphill in deep loose sand & woodchips.
Bike
Comments:
There were segments of the course that were dangerous to the participants. Placing cones in the road to create a lane for cyclists just doesn't work.
T2
Comments:
My chip was pulled in T2 for not meeting their arbitrary 4 hour cut off. Average athletes can not meet their strict cutoffs that are poorly advertised.

Event comments:
I'm an average long course athlete. I have completed 4 70.3 Ironman branded races with my PR at 6:32. I'm also a 2x Ironman finisher. I was pulled from the course in T2 for not meeting their 4 hour bike course cut-off. There were 12 women that started...only 4 were allowed on the run course. The run is my strongest event, and I wasn't allowed on the run course even with more than two and a half hours to complete the run before the run course closed. I have run several sub-2hr half marathons...I could have easily finished the course.
The finisher times for the 4 ladies that finished ranged from 6:13 to 7:02.
PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A HALF DISTANCE EVENT THROUGH 3 DISCIPLINES!!!!!
