Shorter month but we can still do it! Who's in? I'm gonna aim to get as close as possible again without injuring myself.

Sure, why not. I've got 21 so far, so I'll up the ante (for myself only) and aim for 125. But, I'll be out of the county for 10 days so that'll either kill my total or this will give the motivation to run as much as I "plan" to.

Week one is in, I'm at 54.5, this past week was a peak week in the schedule so I logged some miles. Today was a cross day so no running, and this is a recovery week in my schedule so numbers will be lower. Next week will be the test as I leave for a 10 day trip on Thursday.

This is my winter escape from the cold DC winters so there will be beaches to lounge on, tasty drinks with paper umbrellas to drink, nightlife and entertainment to enjoy, and for better or worse, temps in the upper 80's (great for the pool and beach, craptacular for running).
On the one hand it will be nice to be able to go out and run in shorts and a singlet, but on the other hand the various other temptations will be strong. The good thing is that my last "hard" weekend is planned for the first weekend I'm away. I plan (again plan is the operative word), to move up my last 10 mile pace run and 20 mile LSD run to Friday and Saturday (1st and 2nd full day) that way my motivation is high and I can push myself to get it done. After those two runs, I move into my 3 week taper so I'll be less pressed if a planned 10 miler turns into a 6 or 7 miler, or if I skip a planed 4 mile recovery run altogether and opt instead for a long bike ride on the rented beach cruiser.

I am in for this month as well. I am sitting at 45.44 miles as of today's long run. I have the Hypothermic 1/2 marathon next weekend. Then, I will start the build towards Boston.

Happy Valentine's Day,everyone! I hope you all had a good week of training.
Week 2 is in the books and I logged 40 miles for the week, and hit all my planned workouts. Good week! 14 days in and I've got 94.5 total miles. Another big week planned for this coming week, hopefully I'm able to have the motivation and commitment to get all my workouts in.

NIce Sous! I'm at 40.1 miles so far and I passed my mileage from last month.
Not sure I can get 60 miles in next week to get to 100 but I'll be closer than last month, hehehe.

OK week 3 is done and I was able to will myself to get in 2 of my key workouts while on vacation, although the 10 mile marathon pace run ended up just being a general run since I want feeling it but I did follow it up with my last 20 mile run right on target. 46.5 for the week and 141 total for the month now I move into taper for the R&R DC. Hoping to BQ so I can be like DiVinci this time next year! -

I did the 2016 Hypothermic Half Marathon this morning. it was -20C, but sunny so it wasn't all that bad. The course was rutted and icy so my pace was a bit slow. Finish 4th in my wave with a 1:40. I picked up my medal and jumped into my car and played an hour of hockey right afterwards. I am up to 75.4 miles this month. I will do a recovery swim tomorrow morning then start building towards the Boston Marathon.
I hope everyone is having a good month and keep it up.
