BY: kaqphin on 2007-07-04 5:18 AM
Alright…. Teams are assigned below… due to popular demand I have assigned everyone to a team from the pro peloton.
If I have accidentally missed anyone’s name OR want to join in the challenge, please post in this thread and I will assign you a team (I’m trying to keep the teams reasonably balanced).
Oh… and to be friendly its all in alphabetical order!!! I will start threads for each team as well….(including some pro team info to really get in the spirit)
Let the sledging, banter and FUN begin!!!!!

Game Over! E-E is going to win! And I can already feel the jealousy of you other teams not having orange jerseys!

P.S. Is beer a performance-enhancing drug? At least on a trainer you don't fall off very easily....

With the amount of riding you are doing... I think its essential pain relief

Humph... all these experienced teams have no idea what the
sandbaggersnewbies have in store. Practice saying this on each of your rides... "not worthy" so that as we take podium and get kissed on the cheek by triathlon groupies, you can all bow and repeat.Baroloworld it is! That's right you've never heard of us, or you wouldn't have shown up!

BARLOWORLD (a.k.a. Newbie Super Losers about to SMOKE THE COMPETITION because we're desperate and dedicated and need to work out more than you do ... you who should get ready to pucker up and look up! Maybe start by looking up, uh, what Barloworld is).
Hot jersey. Wild card. Most international team (six nationalities). Best cheering squad (us).
So I can legitimately claim to represent Indonesia and Germany. DoloresM2 has got Cuba. For purposes of this team, I think Sioux Falls could count as a country. Any other teammates want to weigh in with near or distant international ancestry? Languages?

NEW TEAM ANNOUCEMENT:
By special request there is anther team being added to the Tour De France Challenge line up - Agrutibel.
This is a team for riders/participants who are currently injured and may be unable to ride but want to join in the fun and WILL committ to workouts along the lines of the rest of the teams.
If you want to join this team let myself or Ontherun know and I will start a team thread tonight (Thursday AM for the USA)

Sorry... one more thing... its been brought to my attention that I forgot to put myself on a team... barring any last minute entries I will try and go on one of the teams who still only have 6 riders.

Should we set up a separate "smack talking" thread? Or continue it here? I don't want to bombard others in their team threads. That's not nice
At least I don't have to spend 5 grand on a bike made of plastic to make myself feel faster...

carbon fiber impregnated with glue/resin. Basically plastic
And it would be a "friendly inter-team banter/all-in-good fun smack talk" thread.
