October Peach Challenge
BY: AbbieR on 2008-10-01 4:08 PM
My first challenge, it's an easy one, but will hopefully keep you motivated to keep moving as the holidays approach! For the month of October, it all about Peach boxes on your calendar. If you have not noticed, when you post a workout, the box for the day turns peach. In Sept, I had 29 peach boxes since took 1 day off after IMKY, yes that one day with a white box glared at me the entire month!
For this month, my goal is 100% Peach for 31 days. Keep in mind every day does not need to Tri-specific training; walking the dog, going for a hike, weight training, etc....these count as Peach boxes. No rules yet, other than MOVE everyday and post what you did and for how long Depending on how many people are up for this, we can divide into teams, set time goals, etc. If there are only a few of us I have no problem, giving everyone a kick in *ss to MOVE! Let me know if you are interested.
Thought for the day...... If you are blessed with the ability to move your body, why would you waste that opportunity?"

Hi Abbie -
I was just looking through the challenge forum to go with the run challenge I am already a part of. I think this is a good idea. Since last month I had 1 year box thanks to a challenge. According to my plan for this month I have all peach boxes. But do to unforeseen things I would like to shoot for 30 days of peach boxes.
Good luck.Stacie

I'm in too! September contained the most white boxes ever... and my body and soul have been affected (negatively) greatly. I tend to get depressed in October, so this is perfect timing for me. 31 peach days... here I come!
I leave October 30 for Ironman Florida (spectator), so I'll post for those days when I get back! -

I can aim for 22 boxes of peach. Roughly 5 a week.

On your logs, look under the "Add a new sport" menu....yard work is on there as is stretching and walking. Walk around the block for 10-15 minutes and you earn a peach square!

I'm ready for 31 peach squares in October! If you are creative and motivated there is no reason everyone can not get a 31 this month. Go for a walk. Pull some weeds, run around with your kids. WE CAN DO IT!

If we don't have to do all 31, I'm in. I want to reach 24 peach squares for the month. I'm going out of town next week, and this would keep me moving in spite of my desire to just hang out and chow down at my momma's house.

It's only 10/1 and already excuses? How about this....start the month with the best intentions of being peach for 31 days. Think of it this way......Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!
And if you are not peach all 31 days, then it gives you a goal for November. Everyone can play.

Great it looks like we've got a group! I will PM/Inspire or give you a kick in the butt with my heels or cycling cleats on an as needed basis....it's 31 days you can do it! Post your training in your logs and on the thread. It's also great if as a group you check out everyone else's logs, because if you see everyone else posting their training....YOU don't want to look like the slacker, do you? Inspire eachother, it will be fun! Think of how cool your training log will look on Halloween...ALL PEACH!

Of course you will be offering motivation right?
