What happens if more than one team reaches their goal?
Have we decided on a punishment for the losers yet?

If your team loses, you agree to change your signature line to the following for the period of January 1 through January 31.
I joined the swim challenge started by Renee
Lose that thing...I thought there was no way.
but the (insert winning team name) came to fight
their skilz are just out of sight
so humbled weakness our sig line does display. - Morey1IfWhen Florida Force wins, we have chosen this avatar for ALL the losers to use as their own for the period of January 1 through January 31. No other teams have submitted a humiliation-avatar for the losers.

Stats as of 12/4/05 - for your viewing pleasure
BY: Guest on 2005-12-06 9:46 AM
Swim stats as of 12/4/05.
- The Great White North is spanking all contenders, at 17% of goal (team aggregrate). Although this is only half of the formula, it's certainly a strong and early showing by the Canucks.
- Any team at 13% or above is on goal since we are 13% into the month (as of 12/4).
- Several teams have not checked in as of 3 minutes ago. I originally said first reporting week ends 12/11 but some people got excited and jumped the gun so I'm accomodating both the early reporters and the folks who want to report 12/11. If you don't report until 12/12 that's fine, okey-dokey, hunky-dory.

I updated the spreadsheet to include New England Pooltriots stats.
Also, I added 2 columns to give a better idea of where everyone truly stands. As a reminder, this Challenge is being scored on 2 items:
- Percentage of teammates meeting their goal
- Average goal attainment percentage for team
After adding the two new columns, things shaped up quite differently than the spreadsheet with only averge goal attainment. As you will see when you open the spreadsheet, having a high number of teammates at or above goal is paramount to winning the challenge. You can have the highest average goal attainment % but if you don't have a high number of teammates at or above goal, as well, you can still lose.
This is an early spreadsheet; next week we'll see total participation and more than a week's worth of swimming effort.
Here are the preliminary standings:
- Team Canada - 38%
- Team Utah - 36%
- Texas Yeehaws - 24%
- Florida Force - 22%
- New England Pootriots and Carolina Curmudgeons - tied with 20%

Laura, sure I will continue posting the overall standing within the post.
For All: I will be offline until next Tuesday morning. Please be sure to report your numbers to your team captain. I will update the spreadsheet upon my return and try to post it here by end of day Tuesday, if my schedule allows.

Here it is folks. Read it and weep or rejoice.
Numbers are (in this order) % of total team goal attainment as of 12/11, percentage of team members at or above 35.5% of goal (11 out of 31 days = 35.5% into the month), and total score.
- Midwest Blizzards: 43% of overall goal, 92% at or above goal, 67% total score
- Crazy Canucks: 47-75-61%
- MidAtlantic Crabs: 40-50-45
- Carolina Curmudgeons: 31-43-37.1
- Team Utah: 40-33-36.6
- Northeast Pooltriots: 34-33-34
- Florida Force: 29-33-31
- Southwest Swashbucklers: 32-25-29
- Georgia Shockers: 32-25-28
- Texas Yeehaws: 28-17-22
- Pacific Ring of Fire: 26-17-21
Notice that the effect of having a high percentage of teammates simply meeting their goal can push a team into the lead, even if their average % of goal is lower than another team's. Do not underestimate the importance of simply meeting your respective goal.
Are the Gamecock Wahoos still in the competition or not? Nobody reported from that team.
