I like the idea of a week long tropical celebration next January.

I got in on the first page! Woohoo!!
Tropical run/vacay sounds great to me! Maybe we can come down a day or two before the race, then stay after for a few days to enjoy all that Key West has to offer? That way we don't have to worry about running after all those margaritas.

Good morning Ghoulies!
A new thread seems appropriate on a day I begin a new chapter in my life. I went in this morning and cleaned out my desk and turned in my badges. I normally leave the house at 5:50 to head to the office. Today I left the office at 5:50 to head home. My husband is mad. He wanted me to keep going to work until Tuesday, which is the end of the pay period. He told me to just take a book to work and read that. He didn't understand that they wouldn't pay me to sit there and read a book all day, especially if they knew I was leaving next week. I did what was best for me. I've got this runny nose, sore throat, fever thing going on right now, I didn't want to sit at my desk feeling like crap anyway. I'm taking care of me! I have 12 days of freedom before the next chapter starts.
A week in Key West does sound good! I shouldn't fly right after running a half marathon anyway at least according to my doctor, that whole thick blood thing.

Yes. Yes it is. I do have to update my training log. I'm really not feeling well, but I am going to try and get some yoga in today. Other than that I'm resting today. I do have a lot of things I'd like to get done around the house, but I have all next week for that.
If anyone would like to come help me sort socks next week I will provide cookies.

I am trying to avoid cookies these days but I do work cheap
But hey, wouldn't sorting socks around your house be a full time job?

Um... yes... sorting socks would be a full time job, it's one of the things I need to get done in the next 12 days. I have a laundry basket that is overflowing with nothing but socks. I need to get them put away.

Hi dudes, Im finished my psych exams and I feel like I have passed psychiatry. I got 90% on my oral exam yesterday and an unknown score on my MCQ but I *think* I passed that. 2 more days in the hospital working. I actually saw the most psychotic patient I've seen in the past 6 weeks yesterday. He's paranoid schizo, think russel Crowe in A Beautiful Mind. He's totally in to the government conspiracy, etc, etc. His apartment apparently looked like the woodshed that John Nash was working in with all the writings and pictures.

Well DAMMIT, Melindy. I mean Maui is nice and all, but there are no Ghoulies there!
I am SURE you passed with flying colors. I do not know how people deal with seriously mentally disturbed people. Folks who do it well have all my respect.

Maui vs Key West. Hmmmmm!
Hubby and I are actually hoping to go to Cabo next Feb or March to see the whales, so Maui would be out for us (not that Melindy's parents have extended the invitation for all Ghoulies to come) Key West we should be able to swing for a long weekend.
