August Challenge (Run,Swim,Bike, Weightloss, and/or Other) - CASUAL

After a successful July challenge (thus far), and interest shown in an August Challenge I would like to open up a casual challenge. There will be no teams or formal winner, just a bunch of people training and supporting each other obtain the goals. Anybody interested please post here with running goals for the month of Aug (either miles or hours) and desired weight loss. There will be no closing of this challenge and all are invited, so join in at any time.
Happy running, and lets all meet our goals.

A run challenge sounds good to me. A CASUAL run challenge? Even better.

I've set up a Google spreadsheet for the August Challenge. I edited the first post in the thread to include info about signing up on the spreadsheet. But here it is again:

Ok, thanks to Dee's help there is now a spreadsheet. Please enter your goals when you figure them out. If you can not enter them post them and let me know and I will put them in the spreadsheet for you. The challenge will start Aug 1st and end Aug 31st so there is plenty of time to figure out the goals. Happy running and may everbody exceed there goals. -

Ok now it has become interesting. Since this is a site for triathletes, we have the option to try for one goal or up to four. Let the exercise and excitement begin. I have decided to try for all four. My goals are as follows: 95 miles run, 13125 yds swim, 150 miles bike, and 2 lbls weight loss. Now just for Aug 1st to come around and the games will begin. -

YIPEE!!!!! I need that! Oh...and I've set a new weight loss goal for myself...25 lbs by Oct 18 (college homecoming...yes, it's been a few years...). And, yes, I have 25+ lbs to lose. 40 lbs would put me in "the chart!"
