hi..I started tris "late" also- if I do some this year I will be a newbie again as I haven't competed since 2014. I still run a lot, bike a little, rarely swim-happy to chat with newbies..but maybe this season an olympic tri we'll see..welcome & wits going on?

Not a woman but I did my first triathlon (a sprint) at age 61 and my first and only half Ironman at 62. By no means was I a runner all my life and my swim skills had to be sharpened, but I loved getting into the sport, however late in life.

I am currently sitting on the sidelines with a health issue I came down with while training for another HIM last year. Wish I could get back in the game, but even short course stuff is a no-go for right now.

My message to you is to do it and savor it while you can. Absolutely! Have fun!
