Homework
BY: Guest on 2004-02-18 8:07 PM
I finally got my report done. I almost had a heart attack. My MS Word was frozen up and I did not save any of the report. I only had a little bit more to do at that point. But it came back up. Thank GOD! I thought that there was another thread here bi%$hing about Word but I could not find it. Still have to study for my test but that is the easy part. -

we will see... i didn't study as much as i should of.. the instructor is a stickler for detail. i have to admit i've been working on higher education (while working 50-60 hrs a week) for 10 years and i'm pretty much burnt out.. i'm 1 year into a masters program but i am not going to continue after may/june (i think). it gives me enough units to take my CPA and CFA exams.. new 150 unit requirements. and if in a year or so i'm ready i'll return then. my son and hubby need a lot of time and TLC. i've been pretty absent for the last 4 years.. :-( i'm looking forward to being more than a weekend parent/spouse and having more in my life than school and work. -

I understand where you are coming from. My wife just finished her 4 year degree in June. She was going to take the cpa but decided against it. She is now thinking about doing the CMA. Right now she is just happy to be done with college. She has been going parttime for the last 16 years. Good luck with the CPA that can be a pain in the you know what.

the CMA is much, much, much harder than the CPA.. if she gets her CPA the IMA will waive 2 of the 4 parts of the CMA. the CFA is more in line with what i do and eventhough the CMA reflects a much higher level of performance a lot of companies get stuck on the "CPA" kick which i have mixed feelings about... although i've been trying to leave corporate finance for IT for about 3 years now. now that i have some certificates and an BS in Info. Tech... IT has just been dead in san diego for a couple of years now. plus i am nervous about jumping ponds so to speak.. i'm only 27 but i am the main source of income my family has. hubby is a stay at home dad with retirement from the Navy it helps but you can't support the family on it... ok i'm babbling.. Thanks for your support!

I hate to see what I am like when I get my laptop. The school gives them too us when we start the second half of the program. They want to make sure they get all their money before giving them to us. -

I agree, you're in big trouble! I don't take mine to school or I'd be on this site during class. Now how sick is that? At least when I'm on during the school day (like now) it's because a class let out early and I have time to kill in between. Not that I couldn't do some reading or something.........
