So, who here thinks they've got a great mafia so far? Anyone gotten the "Tycoon" achievement yet? (I just did)
Looking for people to add to my mafia. I'm currently level 80-something.
It's more addictive than BT.

I can't remember, and I'm at work right now so I can't check, but what's the requirement for the Tycoon achievement?
There are plenty of MW people here, and way high leveled. I think Sharkie is around level 9000.
I'm in the 160's or 170's I believe.

Not yet a tycoon but disturbingly addicted to this game. Only at level 160 or so at this point.
think I will go see if I can do some more jods now and will be back to COJ later

I"m level 290 ish.. I don't think I'm over 300 yet.. but I've completed all the NY and Cuba jobs.. anyone can send me a PM to join my mafia -

Tycoon achievement is to own all businesses in Cuba. I'm currently working on my Level 3 mastery for all jobs in Cuba before I go back to NY.

lol.. no i'm not lvl 9000+ but I am lvl 333 (I just had to check) I've missed a bunch of playing time in Cuba (I was not a beta player so Cuba opened up to me much later than most of the others and I was offline for two weeks during a move) so I'm not quite done there yet but I mastered all of NY a long time ago..
Another couple of days and I'll have Cuba mastered so then I'll be able to loot for gifts for my mafia.
If you want to add me I'm Lara Jackson (MW player [CIA] White Shark). Just make sure you specify BT AND MW in the friend request. I also have a top mafia member that is level 850+ that will take any friend/MW player add. -

Yes, another Mafia Wars addict here. I'm only at level 106 though. My current approach...
I spent a little energy doing enough jobs in Cuba to buy the first business. I now am trying to use the first business to drum up enough cash to buy the rest of the businesses. If people would freaking stop attacking me in Cuba I would be okay. But I swear losing a fight in Cuba costs me over C$1000 and I've lost several lately. Otherwise I am ignoring Cuba until I get through NY. I just thought why waste the money I COULD be earning...hence why I am trying to work my way through the businesses.
In NY I'm in the second or third level of the Consigliere tier. The Boss tier just unlocked for me. But it's at the stage where only one job opens up every 5 or 10 levels. I heard that when you finish the Boss tier you get some Golden Throne deal that doubles your energy per time period. So, as the levels open up in the Boss tier I am working my way through those jobs. When I run out of open jobs I go back to the Consigliere tier trying to finish that up. But I'm already out of blackmail photos so I'm going to have to spend some energy soon to go stock up on the consumables. The "free gifts" thing has really been helping out. I've been throwing some extra skill points at energy lately because in general more energy = more skill points which you can then use on other stuff. But I'm starting to lose a lot of fights so I may need to start throwing more skill points at attack/defense again. -

But don't you just get decimated when people attack you?
