I was working on being a triathlete from HI, but it didn't happen, so I will have to settle for 2nd best - a BC BTer.

Hallo from Victoria!

I'm still a relative newbie with one sprint & one 8k under my belt, but I have 4 races on the slate for next year (2 sprints/1 oly/1 10k).. maybe more if I'm ambitious 'n stuff.

I'll answer the call.  After watching the Ironman in Kona I'm inspired to get going again.  I just wish I had a magical device to make more time in the day AND make the rain stop. Here's to a great prep for the next season to all BC'ers.

Hello Everyone,

I have just got stung by the tri bug for some reason and have decided that it is time to get my fat a*s to start getting in shape before i end up being 55 with high blood presure, high cholesterol and an ulsar that just wont quit.... so here I am ready to pound the pavement, glide through the water and spin around town to get into some kick a*s shape!!!!

So far I've signed up for the "first half" (half) marathon Feb 19, UBC Oly March 11, UBC Sprint July 2, Abbotsford Oly July 23, Diva's sprint Aug 7 and I have an entry fore the off-road tri at Buntzen lake in September, I'll probably do the short course.

Eagerly awaiting the opening of registration for the Victoria 1/2IM in June!!

I think that will do me for the season!!  Still have to fit in my mountain biking and my dad wants to teach me how to fly fish!!  Oh yah, and work to support my habits!!

Doing the UBC oly, a bunch of runnning races, contemplating doing the Victoria 1/2, and I am also entering the Vineman full Iron in San Fran area in August, should be a pretty productive year if all goes well.

Looking forward to my first HIM in June at Elk Lake, and some Oly's at UBC in March, Squamish in July, and Vancouver in Sep.

I'm doing 3 this year - 2 sprints and 1 oly in Victoria. Might do one in Van (Pacific Spirit?), depending on where/when my vacation time lands.

So many of you doing the 1/2 here in Vic - I was thinking of volunteering, now I might HAVE to just so I can see all of you guys race!
