Trigator for Kids this summer in Elmira, ON

For those of us with kids, you may want to take a look at this:

Its a great little event in Elmira.  If you saw the setup last year you'd think it was a full scale Triathlon Event put on rivaling TSC or MSC!

If you have kids and want to get them out, this is fun thing to do.  However, it fills up quick...really quick.  Last year I believe registration was full by sometime in May.  Registration opens April 6th.  My lil guy will be going!

I just read an article about last year's race... registration filled up within TWO HOURS for 550 spots. So if you're considering it (which we are), be online as soon as possible: Sat April 6 at Noon!

Here's another local race for kids... looks like a couple of the Toronto locations are full, but a bunch of others still have room.

My 5 year old has been clamouring to do her own race, so I got her registered last night in Fergus and hoping to get into TriGator tomorrow...

I tried to get in on the Elmira one...and it was already booked solid.  We live about 500m from where this event is going to be.   My lil guy really wants to try one.  He's excited about the Marden Marathon coming up next weekend.  His first 1k fun run! XD

Awesome!! Hope he loves it!  I was astounded at how fast TriGator filled up.  We lucked in.  If he likes his 1K, there's another not too far from you... in September, Alma has the Roadkill Race for MS and it has a 1K fun run.  The Running Room organizes it.  Very casual, low key and fun. Medals and BBQ... what else do kids want?

We got an email last night from Trigator in Elmira. They are starting to take those on the waiting lists, and we are officially booked for this event now!   There are 675 athletes registered so far!  If you are interested, you can still go to the website and get on the waiting list. 

My lil guy is excited!  He did his first run at the Marden Marathon, and we couldn't believe he ran the whole 1km and fast to boot!  Now he gets to do his first Triathlon.   As for Daddy...here's hoping the water is warm at Woodstock at the End of May!
