Pre-race routine:

Got set up in transition. Felt better about set up with a little experience. Rehearsed how I'd do the transitions. Had some terrible stomach trouble.

Spent way too much time putting on my shoes. Accidentally smashed my swim goggles under foot and freaked out thinking they were my real glasses. Took a drink from my water bottle.
What would you do differently?:

No water, no socks, do the box thing differently to conserve motion.

Felt good about the bike. Legs felt better by the end of the loop, was able to ride fast enough on the way down to keep the hills manageable going up.

Need to get more comfortable going down hill.

Not go into the wrong rack. Keep the dry box in a better spot to reduce motion.

I left it all out on the table, but I'm just not fit enough yet to compete in my age group. Improving swim, transitions and run time will help.
