Swim
  • 35m 13s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 09s / 100 yards
Comments:

Felt like I had a pretty good swim, on the last leg I started cramping up in my calves, and muscle cramps would plague me the rest of the day.
What would you do differently?:

of course, I can always use more work on the swim.
Transition 1
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

took advantage of the wet suit strippers, that was kind of fun.
What would you do differently?:

fastest in my AG for T1
Bike
  • 1h 24m 25s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 17.66 mile/hr
Comments:

drank about 2/3 of my water on the bike. ate about 1/2 a waffle. Felt pretty good, but could tell i'd lost some fitness over the last month
What would you do differently?:

need to drink more calories on the bike, and maybe some electrolytes.
Transition 2
  • 00m 48s
Comments:

someone beat by by 5 sec in T2.
What would you do differently?:

had abdonimal muscle cramps when I got off bike, took a few minutes to get that shut down.
Run
  • 59m 8s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 09m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

I didn't have a good run, felt OK, for the first 2 miles, then at the turn around it was a bit of a gut check. My right quad started cramping with a couple of miles to go, and I was also fighting the mental battle the last couple of miles. I was out of gas, I walked a few steps, then just finally sucked it up and finished. I was on track to be sub 3 hours until the last mile.
What would you do differently?:

need to find a way to take in more nutrition on the bike and run. The weather was great, I should have had a great run, just couldn't get it together.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around and drank some water, waited for the rest of my team to come in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of calories and hydration.

Event comments:

This was a very well organized race, Kudos to all race staff and volunteers!
