Comments:

Swim was horrible; maintained a freestyle stroke for only about 100 yards or so; had to abandon it after that; relied mostly on a back stroke; tried to return to freestyle stoke often, but couldn't maintain it very long; felt like i was going to throw up most of the swim, perhaps from exertion or swallowing water; just couldn't catch my breath ever!!!
What would you do differently?:

Practice; take swim classes; train with longer swims; take classes!!!

Felt good; very hilly course; chain came off of the bike once; stopped a second time because gear wasn't shifting; probably lost 1 or 2 mins as a result
