Comments:

The swim killed me. I caught a cold 2 days prior to the race and i could never get my breathing in sink. I took in some water and the inside of my nose really burned. I tasted oil/fuel at one point. Overall it was a nightmare swim. Felt better the last 200 meters.
What would you do differently?:

Take swim lessons at Dymamo. Anyone else tried this??
Transition 1
  • 02m 18s
Comments:

Cut my t2 from 5:30 (Emerald point) to 2:18 so I can't complain. It is amazing how fast the time goes in the transitions!!!!
What would you do differently?:

Keep trying to do it faster.
Bike
  • 37m 46s
  • 11.2 miles
  • 17.79 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt good on the bike, this is my strongest of the 3. I thought I would do better, the cold and lung funk slowed me down a little.
What would you do differently?:

Try not to get a cold!!!
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Cut my time in half from Emerald point, I can be faster in T2... Practice practice practice
Run
  • 31m 24s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 10m 08s  min/mile
Comments:

The swim really caught up with me. I thought I was going to puke or explode. I felt like I had swallowed a basketball and could barely run. It really hurt. I just kept putting one foot in front of the other. I had to walk at the first water station and a little later up the hill before the turnaround. I really felt bad!! Felt better on the 3rd mile and finished strong. I saw my wife at the 2 mile marker she was on her way to the turnaround, gave me a lift (her first tri she did great!!) Just need to get the swim down so that it doesn't affect the rest of my race.
What would you do differently?:

puke...
Post race
Warm down:

Ate a banana and some oranges

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lake water, I prefer any other beverage to lake water...

Event comments:

Look forward to next year at which time I will ROCK THE SWIM!!!
Thanks to all who have posted, It makes it easier to analize my race and get better!!!!
