Swim
Comments: I placed myself almost perfectly in the line-up. I didn't have anyone close to me behind me and I only passed one person. What would you do differently?: As I always say, commit to more training and learn how to be faster. I feel I can swim all day at my pace, but i'm ready to be faster. Transition 1
Comments: This was my best tranistion time to date. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: I thought this was a tough course. at certain points I was doing 30 mph, and up some of the hills I was doing 11 mph. I was glad to hear others say the same thing about the toughness of the bike course. I also had a heck of a time getting clipped in to my pedals for some reason. What would you do differently?: Do more speed workouts to get faster. Train more hills. Transition 2
Comments: This was my best T2 transition time. Overall, I wa spleased with both of my trasition times. However, I would still like to get faster. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: This run sucked for me. My left ankle kept cramping up on me and I felt like I was reaching muscle failure. I think it was my fault and due to a lack of strectching though. What would you do differently?: More speed work! Post race
Warm down: Didn't get one. I jumped right in to helping my daughter who was doing the kids tri :) She placed 27 out of 88. Not too bad for her first tri!!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training and proper stretching. Event comments: I can't complain. This was my first race where I placed in my age group, and my first 1st place in my age group (even though there were only 6 of us). Last updated: 2009-07-12 12:00 AM
