Pre-race routine:

Wake up at 3:30. Eat Oatmeal and peanut butter on saltines.
Cup of coffee.
Event warmup:

Sit in warm car and watch for first wave start. Run across parking lot and through the woods to spectator area. Bushwack upstream to start and jump barriers.

Comments:

Wow was it cold. Felt OK. Achilles was a little sore.
What would you do differently?:

not much. Had on right gear, it was just a cold race.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked through finishers area and bummed a ride from a friend so I didn't have to wait for the buses. Once we stopped running, it was too cold to be outside. And we were already wet.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Needed a little more training and confidence in my running partners.

Event comments:

Where in the heck were the chocolate chip cookies and some freaking chicken soup? I mean, there are only like 200 restaurants on the property. Don't you think they could manage a hot post race cup of soup in the freezing temps. And who doesn't have cookies after a race....SERIOUSLY!!!
