Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5 AM.
Ate my bagel. Drank Heed instead of Powerade with it. Missed my carpool. Freaked out and called my wife for parking directions at 6:40 AM.
Event warmup:

Searched frantically for parking spot. Ran almost 2 miles to the start. Realized that I forgot to note where I parked!

Got my # & Tag. Dropped them both in the mud near the porta-potties. Ucky! Did the "I gotta go" dance in line for about 5 minutes. Dropped off my windshirt when the rain stopped. Put jingle bells on the back of my hat.

Forced my way (just kidding) until I was only about 1000 runners from the start line.

Comments:

Right calf kept cramping. Didn't want to push it too hard with my last long run for Disney Marathon planned for tomorrow.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate a banana. Drank a water. Got my bag. Put rainshirt on!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cramping right calf. Two mile run to start.

Event comments:

I gave the overall a 4 because I liked running a fast, flat course. Miles 2.5-4.5 felt very crowded. It was also fun to see the faster runners, and the costumes.
