Swim
Comments: I think the swim course was a little short, maybe by 50 or 100 meters. Regardless, my swim time was amazing for a couple reasons: 1) I started swimming 6 weeks ago, and only swam 2x per week 2) I didn't kick at all - maybe a couple kicks to get around someone, but thats it. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: I may have lost 10sec putting my tri suit on in transition, 5 sec taking my wetsuit off, and 5 sec clipping my race bib in. The run to transition is about 400m uphill, so thats why it is nearly 5min What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: It was a great ride, I felt pretty good through most of it. A few occasions I found myself pushing the pace a little too hard, and I quickly adjusted and found my comfort zone again. What would you do differently?: train more, bike faster Transition 2
Comments: I run with my bike shoes on, so I have to run slow (pavement was wet, and downhill into transition) What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: best run of my life. It took a lot of restraint at first (running 5:15 or 5:30min/km for first 2km). A lot of people passed me. But, I allowed my legs to get comfortable, and my breathing to settle and get into a nice & relaxed pace. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walking, stretching, eating What limited your ability to perform faster: need more training, and that just takes time. Event comments: I am signing up next year! Last updated: 2010-06-16 12:00 AM
