Comments:

I had a great 10 miler, but it was death the next 16 miles. I had to start walking at mile 12 becasue my legs and mind were struggeling I began walking at the aid station and than try to run to each mile marker but my legs were not having it so the walks were getting longer and the running shorter, by the time i got to mile 20 I was probably walking 3/4 of each mile and running the rest. My legs were hurting and I was getting the beginning stges of leg cramps, the aid station helped alittle but it was my fault for not taking in enough potassium and sodium through liguids. But at mile 20 I was geeting into a walking running rythem, that led my the entire way. I started inmind to finish in 3:30, than mile 12 hit and I started to think I may not finish this, than on mile 16 wondering if I could just finsih. Than on mile 18 wondering if I could just beat my Ironman marthon time (4:50) that would be great. But on mile 23 I knew I would get a 4:30 so it was all I was hoping for at that time, when 100s (or at least felt like it) of people passed me. On mile 26 I found 20 bucks which gave me some motivation...haha but I made the finish line on my first marathon, but it def felt alot harder than my forst IM i did last year.
What would you do differently?:

Pace...PACE....PACE... to go out ot fast the first 10 and work on my hydration and nutrition throughout. Dont be overly confident and under estimate the marathon. bc overocnfident= First 10 miles great plus 16 miles of death= 4:26 and just happy to have finished
Post race
Warm down:

got a bagel and got the hell out of there.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of fluids and pacing

Event comments:

It was ok, the aid stations only really offered water and some orange water they called G2, but live and learn......at least I finished

Performance: Bad
Course: the course was relatively flat it had about 3-4 major inclines which were the draw bridges, the course is flat a bit boring and the aid stations were not very good. If you like running with the wind hitting your face the whole time than this is the race for you..haha
