Pre-race routine:

Sitting in the car, trying to talk myself out of the race.
Event warmup:

Lots of hopping around, knee ups, etc. to try and stay warm.

Comments:

This would have been a really nice run if not for the rain, which was just miserable. It was, however, far less detrimental to my race than I thought it'd be. My legs started to get tired and cold (bad combo) at about 10.5, but I dug in and forced myself to finish strong. Hell, what's 3 miles when you've already done 10 1/2??? At least that's what I told myself :)
What would you do differently?:

Packed a parka. My coat was soaked through even though it's supposed to be water-proof.

Warm down:

Briefly perused the food tent and then headed to the car for the 45-minute drive home in soggy clothes. Not ideal, but there was nowhere to stretch inside and I was pretty through with the whole outside thing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training. Because my "A" race for tris was so late, I probably didn't get in the mileage I should have. The weather was definitely a factor too.

Event comments:

This was a really well run race and it's a shame the weather was so crappy. I would definitely do this race again!
