Comments: Terrible swim. Too much effort and not relaxed when in traffic and sighting What would you do differently?: Lots more training and OWS experience. Need to be able to relax when making corrections due to other swimmers and sighting. Transition 1
Comments: Way too tired from swim to be aggressive during transition. No problems with sunglasses, helmet and shoes. What would you do differently?: Just need more experience. Bike
Comments: A good number of hills on route. Some were very steep. Topped out at 36.9 mph on one downhill. During ride passed lots of other racers. Never was passed by anyone for good. Made up many spots in placement What would you do differently?: Nothing at this time. Need more training and experience. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty tired at end of ride. Jogged a little with bike in transition. Difficult with shoes still on. . What would you do differently?: Need to buy triathlon cycling shoes with velcro. Run
Comments: Calves still cramped at beginning and quads towards end. Pretty good run. Passed lots of people and was never passed. Good strong finish on last 1/2 mile. What would you do differently?: Once calves stop cramping, give a little stronger effort. Continue to hydrate. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience. Continue to be comfortable on swim. Lost 5+ minutes resting on kayaks and wasted lots of time and energy with poor sighting and muscle tension. Last updated: 2013-06-21 12:00 AM
