Comments:

I hurt mile 9 but besides that I was great. MUCH better than the other half I did in April. Thousands of spectators really got me going, I absolutely loved every second of this race.
What would you do differently?:

Not a whole lot. I broke 2:20, which was my goal. I'd like to run another half in May or so. We'll see what happens.
Post race
Warm down:

Sat and waited for my stepdad's relay team to get in, walked to get food

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Wind..cold wind

Event comments:

You need to get out here and do the Detroit Marathon. It is seriously amazing!!! You will not regret it! I really plan on doing my first full marathon here next year depending on my other time committments..I hope I have time to train.

I loved it!

Course: The most amazing thing I've ever seen is running up over the Ambassador Bridge with the sun coming up over it. It was amazing although the climb up the bridge was painful. The stretch along the river in Windsor was great, and the tunnel was also a little painful. Mile 9 was the hardest as usual but I pushed through. Flat course and before I knew it I was sprinting to the finish inside Ford Field. Just amazing.
