Comments: Had a weird pain under right ribcage after jumping into pool. First 200m were sub 2:00, i think. Guy behind me didn't seed well, ended up passing me at 150 mark and was too polite about it. Spent time talking and apologizing! What would you do differently?: Go out a little harder after 200yds. Transition 1
Comments: Transition was long from pool. Did well, but forgot to loosen my laces, so that took a little time. What would you do differently?: Remember to loosen laces on bike shoes. Bike
Comments: Rocked the bike. Felt good and fast. Route was hillier than I expected, but a nice one. Managed to remember a gu at 30 min. Rained about half the bike. What would you do differently?: Drink more!! Transition 2
Comments: Skipped new socks. Forgot to loosen laces, but they were ok. Took a large drink of water right before leaving transition, which was probably a mistake! Run
Comments: Ran 3:1 for most of race. Walked two aid stations. Ran last 0.5mi. Sprinkled a little, but that was nice! Had to stop to pee at 0.5mi mark. It was disasterous. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run went pretty well and i beat my goal time. Post race
Warm down: Pant and walk to transition. Pack transition and then change clothes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Good race overall. I would like to do it again. However, there is a huge lack of communication from the RD before the race. At the very least the route maps could be posted online before the race (they wern't). I was told they would be available at the venue morning of, but they weren't. RD seems to assume everyone who does this race is local and knows the route/roads. Last updated: 2016-05-27 12:00 AM
