Run
Comments: Not too bad, considering how inflamed most of my right leg is. I wasn't thrilled with my time, but I don't think it was that bad considering this is the first non-flat course I've run and I'm injured. And at least I beat my mother. What would you do differently?: I think I'd start out faster. My first two miles were in about 19:30. That's terrible. But I was also afraid of injuring myself if I pushed too hard. Honestly, though, I'm ok with it. I really wanted to concentrate on the 8K I want to run on Thursday (injuries permitting), so I wasn't trying to kill myself on this one. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Did not win raffles. What limited your ability to perform faster: The inflammation running from my right arch, up through my knee and as far as my IT band :P Event comments: It was a very small race - there wasn't much going on. However it was also supposed to be run a week ago - it had been cancelled due to flooding. That probably has something to do with the dearth of post-race festivities. Hemmed and hawed about whether to run at all, since my knee and foot hurt so much yesterday.
Took a lap around the soccer field, stretched.
