Got to the event early, set up transition. Then drank some Heed.

The tide was pretty close to the beach, but the waves were about 75 yds from the beach, so the first 75 yds was just wading out in thigh deep water.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe no wet suit next time.

This was only my third T1, so it went pretty much as the others. Slow, mostly because I change into socks for the bike/run.

Warm down:

Ate some oranges and bannanas, with water. Felt pretty good.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I cracked a rib 4 weeks earlier and was not able to train until one week before the event, then it was only light workouts.

Event comments:

I know I could have done much better if I had not injured myself. I used this race as experience, so I'm not too disappointed. It's amazing how much fitness I lost in just 3 weeks.

It was a good event. The Marines are great!
