Comments:

Had a strong run. I could not have gone any harder. Started out front right behind DIME. I knew he would go out fast even though he said he wasn't. Was about 5th at mile 1 but reelling in the leaders. I stayed behind Dime the whole run not letting him get to far ahead. I really wanted to catch him because series point were only given for the run portion today since the roads were so icy. The bike was optional today. Anyway, we reeled in all the leaders save 1. He ran it in 22 minutes. He was moving. Stayed steady though the middle section then pick it up near the end to make sure no one caught me.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster and trip Dime on the back section.
Transition 1
  • 02m 36s
Comments:

I took my time hear. I was freezing and I couldn't get my gloves back on because my hands were sweating on the run and the thumb of the glove would not go back in place. So I got my stuff on and I watch Dime knock over the whole back rack in his section! I yell, nice work Dime. He was just trying to haul ass. Terrible transition but who cares, it was damn cold.
What would you do differently?:

Um, different gloves?

Comments:

Had a strong bike leg despite the road conditions. I actually rode my tubulars that had more tread then my clinchers. Went out real easy, Dime was no where to be seen. I was dodging people on the road trying not to fall on the ice. So I slowed way down until about the mile mark. The run course came back on the road that we were riding on. Kept it easy until it was a long, straight stretch to go harder. Finally saw Dime a ways off into the distance. Picked it up a bit but stayed moderate pace. Finally caught him at the turn around. We chatted for a bit and then I said, let's put the hammer down Dime. He says, FUCK! And away I go. It was a very fun day..
What would you do differently?:

nothing.

Cold and snow!
