Comments:

Held back a little on the pace. Had a sore foot for two days before race. Was not sure how I was going to hold up on first run. Turned out my foot did not bother me during the race.

Comments:

Too hot for me. Not conditioned for running in the heat. Got into my run / walk routine after mile 2 and continued to the finish line. I observed numerous runners walking or run / walking during the final 10K. The combination of the added distances of the Olympic du and the heat did me in.

Sunny, hot weather.

Event comments:

Race started 15 minutes late... Problem with transition timers. No transition times this event.. Finally, got my HRM working correctly for the entire race. Really enjoyed the bike course. Wish I could have done better on the final 10K run. Anyway, glad I was able to finish.
