Pre-race routine:

UGH! I worked until 4AM... went home and slept until about 5:30, got up showered grabbed my gear and threw my stuff in the car. Hit the local gas station for coffee and redbull and yes some gas. Drove from Vail throught the winter snow to Sunny Denver. Got there with 6 mintutes to spare before the race started.

Ran well enough. I went out hard 5:32 on mile one then settled down. Finished strong.

Transitions matter. I came in 5th, KiloDave 4th. My transition was 6 seconds slower than Dave's and he beat me by 3 seconds...
