Swim
  • 05m 17s
  • 200 yards
  • 02m 38s / 100 yards
Comments:

Started hard and not breathing right, figured it out first 2 laps and corrected. Since it was a pool lap swim there was a jumble of people at one point where there were 4 of us trying to swim in the same space, one girl went under the other 3 of us and I was able to get around the other two at the wall.
What would you do differently?:

focus on technique rather than speed, I think that would make me faster actually.
Transition 1
  • 02m 48s
Comments:

A couple minutes faster than first race but still slow. I need to practice transitions.

What would you do differently?:

practice
Bike
  • 21m 37s
  • 5.4 miles
  • 14.99 mile/hr
Comments:

I'm scared to do turns fast or go around corners fast so I break. Part of the path was on brick lined streets with some potholes. Wind was mostly to my back. :)
What would you do differently?:

practice, need to get more comfortable with doing turns without coming so close to stopping. Forgot camel back at transition, short ride but used to having it on bike ride before run and would have done better more hydrated on run.
Transition 2
  • 01m 15s
Comments:

forgot race number for run and had to go back to get it. Went down wrong lane twice before finding my spot. Need to pay more attention to where my spot is. Had marked bike to find it easy during T1 but had a hard time finding it T2.

Run
  • 10m 59s
  • 1 miles
  • 10m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

I really need to work on running.
What would you do differently?:

hydrate more on bike before run.
Run was average for me, bad overall...
More bricks!!!
Post race
Warm down:

great warm down, good food fruit, lots of drinks, bagels, and muffins. Much better post race stuff than my first race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mind set. Other people were walking and I felt tired so I walked, (come on, its a mile run!) I ended up regreating it. I was 4 minutes slower than the 5th place person. I wish I would have pushed myself more on the run.I really think I could have pushed more.

Event comments:

I could do a longer race, but it was kinda fun for me to do a mini sprint.
