  • Comments: They couldn't help the heat, and I don't know why the river current was so much greater this year than last time. They said that they had worked with TVA to limit the water flow. It ended up being fairly dangerous for the less experienced swimmers and they cancelled the Swim in the Sprint race. Communication about this was pretty poor. The start could have been much better organized as well. As it was, everyone just milled about and noone knew where to be. We started almost 20 min late becasue it took so long to get people where they needed to be. The music was nice, but you couldn't hear the announcements about where to be and who was about to start. Otherwise, it was a pretty good race. I'd love to see a water bottle exchange on the bike for the Olympic racers, considering hte heat.
