  • Comments: This race is not for beginners. The water is hot; the bike course has hills and little flats except for 21 (which has traffic including the semi) and the run is not for the faint of heart. As such, the race was full of people who run triathlons. I finished second to the guy just kills our category. I frankly did not have a great attitude going into the race even considering staying home. The course preview I did was both helpful and also intimidating to me. The ankle and hip problems over the last month has been a pain too. So in the end, very proud of the effort but not sure if the race stays on the schedule

  • Comments: nice sprint, tougher than earlier sprints out of Huntersville aq center, hot water no wetsuit made a difference, at least not dizzy coming out of water
